Three Fishermen Penalized for Illegal Fishing in Alagadi
Authorities in Northern Cyprus have apprehended three individuals for illegally fishing in a restricted zone near Alagadi. The suspects were at sea in a boat that had no TRNC flag, registration number, or name, violating maritime regulations.
According to a police statement, the incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon in an area where fishing is strictly prohibited. Among the three individuals on board, a 42-year-old man was fishing with a rod, while his 49-year-old companion was using nets. The role of the third person was not specified in the official report.
Legal proceedings have been initiated against the suspects, and law enforcement is continuing its investigation.
