Three people were injured in an accident on the Kyrenia-Degirmenlik highway
Three people were injured in a major accident in Northern Cyprus. Two cars collided head-on on the main road between Kyrenia and Degirmenlik.
According to the TRNC police press service, a serious accident occurred yesterday evening, around 19:40, at the first kilometer of the main road from Kyrenia to Degirmenlik. A 42-year-old driver, Musa Demirtas, was driving towards Degirmenlik. As a result of crossing into the opposite lane, a collision occurred with the car driven by 42-year-old Beyzade Chetinkaya.
As a result of the head-on collision, the drivers of both vehicles were injured. They were taken to Akcicek Hospital in Kyrenia and placed under the observation of doctors with various injuries. Also injured was 38-year-old Onur Kagnydzioglu, a passenger in the first car, who was taken to Nicosia State Hospital named after Dr. Burhan Nalbantoglu.
The police investigation into the cause of the accident continues.
