In the case of the theft of items from luggage at Ercan Airport, new episodes have emerged
During the investigation, it was found that the suspects stole a laptop, women's wristwatches, a diamond ring, earrings, a brooch, and a pearl necklace from the suitcases of two travelers.
As a reminder, at the end of November, it was reported that three employees at Ercan Airport had been detained on suspicion of stealing items from passengers' luggage. The three individuals, aged 29, 41, and 45, considered suspects in the thefts, were identified and arrested during a large-scale investigation conducted as part of the Check-In operation by the police regarding thefts that occurred at Ercan Airport from September to November 2023.
The detained airport workers have already appeared in court and were arrested pending further investigation.
