Young Man Killed in a Traffic Accident in Northern Cyprus
A tragic accident in Northern Cyprus has claimed the life of a young man. The fatal crash occurred at the Cengizköy roundabout late last night.
According to the police press office, the accident happened around midnight. 22-year-old Berat Tunç was driving along the Lefke–Güzelyurt highway when he lost control of his vehicle while approaching the Cengizköy roundabout, reportedly due to speeding. His car hit the curb on the left side of the road and overturned. Tragically, he died at the scene.
Berat Tunç is the 15th person to lose their life in a traffic accident in 2025.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances of the crash.
