IN FAMAGUSTA, A RESTAURANT WAS SEALED DUE TO UNSANITARY CONDITIONS
The police department of the Famagusta municipality has sealed a restaurant where sanitary and hygienic norms were not observed. The catering establishment was found to have a large quantity of spoiled products.
According to the municipality, outdoors in the restaurant, 20 sacks of chicken, five sacks of by-products, four sacks of old fish, and three sacks of entrails were stored.
In addition, during inspections conducted by the police and health department, 9 kg of expired ketchup and 5 bottles of beer past their expiration date were discovered. All spoiled products were confiscated by the police with the approval of the health department.
Currently, the establishment is sealed. If the violations are not rectified and the restaurant fails to comply with sanitary conditions again, the owner will face a fine equal to half the minimum wage.
