Two Kilograms of Cannabis Seized in Famagusta
In Famagusta, during the "Black Bag" operation, the police confiscated two kilograms of cannabis. One person has been arrested on suspicion of illegal drug trafficking.
According to the police press service, as part of the operation conducted by the Anti-Drug and Smuggling Unit, yesterday evening around 19:30, a car driven by a 32-year-old man was stopped for inspection.
During the search of the vehicle, about two kilograms of a substance, presumably marijuana, were found. The drugs were seized as material evidence, and the car owner was arrested.
In addition, another operation was conducted last night in Kyrenia. Around 02:30, the police stopped a suspicious car. Behind the wheel was a 24-year-old young man. During the search of the vehicle, about 300 milligrams of hemp oil were found and confiscated. The driver and a 26-year-old passenger of the car have been detained.
