Today, Famagusta will showcase the new musical "Folklorama" for free
As part of the events commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation, Famagusta is hosting a public musical. The performance of “Folklorama 2024” will be shown free of charge on July 18 at 20:00 at the Rauf Raif Denktaş Culture and Congress Palace.
This two-act musical was organized under the auspices of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Nicosia. The State Opera and Ballet Center under the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment of TRNC, and the Izmir Opera and Ballet Center under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey.
According to a statement from the State Opera and Ballet Theatre of TRNC, the musical combines “familiar folk songs and the folkloric texture of Turkish geography with the universality of art.”
