Two Minibus Drivers Fight in Kyrenia
In Kyrenia, two minibus drivers got into a physical altercation after a road dispute. Both drivers were hospitalized as a result of the fight and now face the possibility of losing their licenses.
The incident, which occurred earlier today, was brought to attention by Kyrenia’s mayor, Murat Şenkul, on his social media page.
The mayor strongly criticized the behavior of the minibus drivers and the existing public transportation system. He also called for the revocation of licenses for transporters who fail to follow traffic rules.
"Today, two minibus drivers ended up in the hospital after a fight caused by a road argument. We have been waiting for the Ministry of Transport’s public transportation reforms for a year and a half. In reality, it would be easy to resolve the current situation, which pits drivers against each other and disrupts traffic flow. All that is needed is to revoke the permits of the two transporters who break the rules," the mayor wrote.
