Kyrenia Holds Event for International Day of Persons with Disabilities
Students from the Special Education and Vocational Training School in Kyrenia organized an informational campaign in honor of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, observed on December 3.
The event, held on Ecevit Street with the support of Kyrenia Municipality’s Road Police teams, involved students distributing brochures to drivers of parked cars.
"The heartfelt approach and the children’s smiling faces had a positive impact on the drivers and reminded them once again of the significance and importance of Disability Day," stated the Kyrenia Municipality on social media.
The campaign aimed to raise social awareness and improve the lives of individuals with disabilities.
According to the Turkish Cypriot Disabled Association, approximately 6,500 people with disabilities live in Northern Cyprus.
