Bar in Kyrenia Sprayed with Gunfire — Five Arrested
A shooting incident occurred in Kyrenia last night, targeting the popular nightlife venue Kulis Live. The bar came under fire from unknown assailants, prompting a swift police operation that led to the arrest of five individuals.
According to a statement from the police press office, the attack took place around 1:00 AM, when a car without license plates pulled up outside the venue. The people inside the vehicle fired approximately five shots at the bar.
“On April 18, at around 01:00, unknown individuals fired shots at an entertainment venue on Mete Adanır Street in Kyrenia. Thankfully, no one was injured or killed in the incident,” the police reported.
In response, authorities launched Operation Ghost, which quickly led to the arrest of five suspects, aged between 18 and 28, believed to be involved in the shooting.
During a search of the crime scene and the suspects' vehicle, officers recovered three empty shell casings and four live rounds, which were taken in as evidence.
Later, police located a 7.65 mm pistol and a magazine, buried in a field in Dikmen.
The investigation is ongoing.
