Counterfeit Olive Oil Discovered in İskele
During inspections in İskele, counterfeit olive oil was discovered.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Agriculture, of the three samples tested, two met quality standards, while one was found to be counterfeit and unsuitable for consumption.
The original producer or seller of the counterfeit olive oil was initially unidentified, prompting an investigation. It was later determined that the counterfeit sample came from the Şimşekler Teşebbüsler Ltd. hotel.
The seller and producer of the product is Hakan Düzgün, who will face an administrative fine under the "Olives and Olive Products Law."
