A noisy generator and underweight bread found in İskele
During an inspection in İskele, the sale of underweight bread was identified, and a fine was imposed on the producer.
According to the İskele Municipality, after receiving a complaint, the Department of Environment and Health conducted an inspection at one of the city supermarkets.
As a result of the control purchase, a loaf of bread that was supposed to weigh 200 grams weighed only 175-185 grams. A fine was imposed on the bread producer from Famagusta.
During further inspections at various retail outlets, about 100 items with expired shelf life and improper storage conditions were identified.
Furthermore, in collaboration with the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Environment and Health discovered noise on one of the city's construction sites exceeding permissible limits.
According to the law, the sound level of equipment should not exceed 55 decibels, while the generator was producing 62 decibels.
After the inspection, the generator was disconnected, and its owner was fined.
