Six suspected drug traffickers arrested in Kyrenia
In Kyrenia, police have arrested six people who may be involved in drug trafficking. Drugs and money from their sale were found at the detainees' home.
According to the police press service, the day before, while patrolling Islambey Street, traffic police stopped to check a suspicious car driven by a 25-year-old young man. There were also two passengers, aged 24 and 25, in the car. During a search of the car, about two grams of a narcotic substance were found.
Further investigation by DEA teams identified two more girls and a young man involved in the case, who were found to be in possession of a further 62 grams of drugs, approximately 70 thousand liras, $2,711, £1,190 and 20 euros. The police believe that the money came from the sale of the potion.
All six people were arrested. The investigation into the case continues.
