On International Theatre Day, a theatre festival kicks off in Northern Cyprus
The Beşparmaklar Theatre Festival will take place at the Cultural Center in Chatalköy Erol Avgören from March 27th to April 6th.
Various theatre groups from all over Northern Cyprus will participate in the cultural event. Artists from Famagusta, Degirmenlik, Güzelyurt, Nicosia, and other regions of the country will take the stage. Children's plays will also be performed at the festival.
According to the Mayor of Esentepe—Chatalköy, Jayhun Kyrok, the aim of the festival is to emphasize the importance of theatrical art.
Nazim Ched, the Director of State Theaters, thanked the Chatalköy—Esentepe Municipality for supporting the festival.

Saturday, March 30th - “Our Boy and Our Neighbor's Daughter” - (Degirmenlik - Akıngilar Municipality Folk Dance Ensemble)
Monday, April 1st - “A Beautiful Day in the Park” - (Nicosia Municipal Theatre)
Tuesday, April 2nd - Children's play “Babavura vs. Garabödgyu” - (Culture and Thought Association “Fourth Wall”)
Tuesday, April 2nd - “Dangerous Obsession” - (Iskele Municipal Theatre)
Wednesday, April 3rd - “The Merry Wives of Shakespeare” - (Baraka Theatre Collective)
Thursday, April 4th - “Shakespeare's Ghost” - (Girne Municipal Theatre Ensemble)
Friday, April 5th - "Alikko and Kaer" - (FOGEM) Saturday, April 6th - "The Greenholm Method" - (State Theatres of KT).
The performances for adults will start at 8:00 PM, and for children at 11:00 AM. Tickets priced at 50 TL can be purchased at the Chatalköy - Esentepe Municipality.
It is worth noting that earlier it was reported that the theatre festival, dedicated to World Theatre Day celebrated on March 27th, will also be organized by the Famagusta Municipality.
