Major Drug Bust in Nicosia: Police Seize Narcotics and Large Sum of Cash
Police in Nicosia have confiscated a large quantity of drugs and seized a substantial amount of cash in a targeted operation that led to the arrest of five suspects.
According to a statement from the Police Headquarters, the operation—code-named “Persistence”—was carried out by the Anti-Narcotics and Anti-Smuggling Directorate in collaboration with the Crime Prevention Unit of the Nicosia Police Department.
During the raid, officers seized approximately 347 grams of a substance believed to be an illegal drug. They also found a grinder containing traces of narcotics, along with 143,380 Turkish lira in cash. Authorities suspect the money may be linked to drug trafficking activities.
