Illegal Resident in Nicosia Jumps from 10 Meters to Flee Police
In Nicosia, residents reported a neighbor who was playing excessively loud music, prompting the police to intervene. In a desperate bid to avoid being caught, the man leaped from a height of 10 meters, breaking his leg in the process.
The incident occurred around 10:00 PM last night. When police arrived at the scene, they found 29-year-old Prosper Lukman Yusuf in the apartment. Upon spotting the officers, he attempted to escape by jumping off the balcony. The fall resulted in a fractured left ankle, and he was immediately taken to the orthopedic ward at Nicosia State Hospital.
During their investigation, police discovered that Yusuf was living in the country illegally, without a residence permit or any legal documentation.
He is currently under medical supervision at the hospital. His case will be brought before the court once he completes his treatment.
