On Monday, KIB-TEK will disconnect electricity for debtors
The Cyprus-Turkish Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK) has warned debtors about the upcoming electricity disconnection. The restrictive measure will affect those who owed more than 675 Turkish liras by December.
According to the resource provider, electricity will be disconnected on Monday, January 8th, for persistent non-payers.
The message indicated that on the same day, electricity would be cut off for subscribers with unpaid debts under installment plans arranged in accordance with legal agreements with the institution.
"In connection with the collection of overdue debts, on Monday, January 8, 2024, electricity will be disconnected for all private and legal subscribers whose payment deadline expired in December 2023 and earlier, with a debt exceeding 675 TL," the statement from the energy company said.
To avoid issues with electricity supply, subscribers are urged to settle their outstanding debts.
