KIB-TEK to Cut Power for Debtors on Monday
The Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK) has issued a warning about upcoming electricity disconnections for those with unpaid bills. According to the energy provider, power will be cut for chronic debtors starting Monday, December 9.
In its statement, KIB-TEK announced that, as part of efforts to recover outstanding debts, electricity will be disconnected on Monday, December 9, for all residential and commercial customers whose bills have remained unpaid since October 2024 or earlier, and whose outstanding balance exceeds 675 TL.
In addition, power will also be disconnected for both private and commercial subscribers who have outstanding payments on bills that were previously paid in installments under legal agreements with KIB-TEK.
Customers are encouraged to pay any outstanding balances to avoid disruptions to their electricity supply.
