A park for people with autism to be built in a suburb of Nicosia
A sensory integration park for people with autism will be built in the Ortaköy suburb of Nicosia.
The park will cover an area of 2,900 square meters. The project is funded by the Nicosia Municipality (LTB), the Cyprus Autism Association (KODER), and a sponsor. A protocol was signed at the LTB Yeni Dünya +1 Cafe, attended by LTB President Mehmet Harmancı, sponsor Ali Çınar on behalf of Vedat Erbaş, and the President of the Association, Duygu Göze Ergöknil, on behalf of the Cyprus Autism Association.
The park, which will be built based on the decision of the LTB Commission for Technical Issues and Urban Design, will include a KODER building, a multifunctional hall, semi-open play areas, a sensory integration zone, a local park, and special zones for occupational therapy.
