According to the police, the accident occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. on the service road between Girne and Ağırdağ. Preliminary investigations suggest that the driver lost control of the vehicle, which then crashed into a tree. Tragically, the victims have been identified as 41-year-old Mehtap Kanal, who was driving the car, and her 12-year-old daughter, Ekren Başbinar.
