The Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has announced the results of recent inspections of olive oil producers. Out of 36 samples collected from hotels and local markets, three were found to be adulterated.

All samples were analyzed at the Food Control Laboratory in Ankara, which operates under the General Directorate of Food Control of Turkey’s Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

Based on the test results, 33 samples were confirmed to be safe and suitable for sale, while three showed signs of adulteration.

The adulterated products include Alemdağ olive oil, produced by Alemdağ Gıda Ltd, and two samples of Şirinevler olive oil, produced by Devay Veterinary Consultancy Ltd. The companies responsible have been issued administrative fines.
