Road Closures in Northern Cyprus This Weekend for Cycling Race
This Sunday, April 6, a cycling competition will be held in Northern Cyprus, and several roads will be temporarily closed to traffic during the event.
The race is being organized by the Turkish Cypriot Cycling Federation and will begin at 7:30 AM. Temporary traffic restrictions will be in place along the following routes: Nicosia–Güzelyurt, Güzelyurt–Lefke, Kalkanlı–Çamlıbel–Yılmazköy, and Alayköy–Metehan.
There will be a total of three races. According to a statement from the police press office, the first and second group races will start at the Atatürk Sports Complex in Nicosia.

First Group: Cyclists will head from Nicosia toward Güzelyurt, continue to Lefke, and turn around at the Doğancı roundabout. They will then return via the Kalkanlı–Çamlıbel–Yılmazköy route and finish near the Sevgi Roundabout on the Alayköy–Metehan ring road.

Second Group: This group will also start from Nicosia and reach the Güzelyurt roundabout before turning back and following the same route to the Sevgi Roundabout finish line.

Third Group: Cyclists in this group will compete along the Alayköy–Metehan ring road in both directions between the Sevgi (purple) Roundabout and the Ağıllar Roundabout.
For the first and second group races, police motorcycle escorts will accompany the cyclists, and all intersections and roundabouts along the route will be temporarily closed to vehicles.
During the third race, the section of the Alayköy–Metehan ring road between the Sevgi and Ağıllar roundabouts will also be closed in both directions.
