Two Injured in Fire in Lapta
A major fire broke out in a residential building in Lapta, Northern Cyprus, last night, leaving two people injured.
According to the police press office, emergency services were alerted to a fire in an apartment on Kılıçarslan Street, Lapta, at approximately 3:30 AM. The blaze caused significant damage, including to a sofa bed, a plastic table, and an air conditioner. Additionally, the intense heat shattered six windows, and the walls of the house were covered in soot.
The residents managed to extinguish the fire themselves before the fire brigade arrived. Two people were injured in the incident and were taken to Akçicek Hospital in Kyrenia. After receiving treatment, they were discharged. Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
