Youth Football Team from the TRNC Returns from Azerbaijan Tournament
The U12 national football team of the TRNC (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) has returned home after participating in a football tournament in Azerbaijan. The young athletes were welcomed at Ercan Airport by their families and friends, who greeted them with flowers and balloons.
According to the Turkish Cypriot Football Federation (KTFF), the U12 Youth National Team of Northern Cyprus took part in the Ulduz Cup, held in the city of Guba, Azerbaijan, for footballers under 12 years old.
The tournament was organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA), and the Ulduz Football Academy.
A total of 8 teams from 5 countries competed in two groups during the tournament. The TRNC team was placed in Group A alongside teams from "Bunyodkor" (Uzbekistan), "Ulduz," and Guba OSC. Group B included "Dynamo" Minsk (Belarus), "Saburtalo" (Georgia), "Qarabag," and "Metak."
In the final match, the players from Dynamo Minsk triumphed over the host team Ulduz, securing a 6-0 victory and the tournament championship. Meanwhile, Bunyodkor claimed third place by defeating Saburtalo.

The warm reception they received at the airport boosted the players' morale and filled them with hope for future achievements," the KTFF said in a statement.
