Seven Fires and 37 Emergency Incidents Reported in Northern Cyprus Last Week
During the past week, Northern Cyprus recorded seven fires and 37 incidents requiring emergency response.
According to the weekly report from the General Directorate of Police, the total estimated damage caused by the fires amounted to 687,000 Turkish lira.
The fires were attributed to various causes, including electrical short circuits, wooden paneling catching fire from chimney embers, a lightning strike, and clothing igniting near a stove used for heating.
Beyond fire extinguishing efforts, firefighters assisted individuals trapped on a house balcony, in an elevator, and in a vehicle following a traffic accident. They also rescued a pigeon, dogs, and cats found stuck in different locations.
