The Turkish Cypriot Port and Transport Workers’ Union (Liman-Sen) has temporarily suspended its indefinite strike at the ports of Famagusta and Kyrenia after reaching an agreement with the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.

Earlier today, Minister of Public Works and Transport Erhan Arıklı met with the striking workers. Following the meeting, Liman-Sen President Aydın Bilgiç announced that the minister had requested 15 days to address their concerns.

"We have suspended the strike and returned to work," Bilgiç stated.

The strike was initially launched earlier this week over delayed wages and violations of the collective labor agreement.
