General Information about the European University of Lefke

The European University of Lefke (EUL) is a higher education institution located in the city of Lefke. Founded in 1989 by the Cyprus Science Foundation, the university opened its doors in 1990 as a member of the Balkan Universities Network and offers 77 undergraduate programs and 38 graduate and doctoral programs approved by the Higher Education Council of Turkey (YÖK).

International Cooperation

The European University of Lefke has various partnerships, recognition agreements, and memorandums of understanding with universities and partner institutions worldwide.

EUL strives to facilitate external access to exchange programs, seminars, conferences, and digital information. The International Office offers special services for exchange students.

The European University of Lefke has signed joint degree agreements with the University of Bradford and the University of Salford in the UK, under which EUL students can earn degrees from both EUL and the University of Bradford and the University of Salford.

Dormitory Living Conditions at Lefke University

The student dormitory offers accommodation in single, double, and triple rooms with bathrooms and meal plans. All rooms have a shower, air conditioning, and a toilet. Each floor has a study room, kitchen, TV room, and laundry. In addition, hot water and internet access are available 24/7. The dormitory buildings are a few minutes' walk from cafeterias, faculties, and the sports complex.

When is the admission period at Lefke University?

Students wishing to apply for the fall semester should submit their documents between March and the end of September of the upcoming academic year. Students wishing to apply for the spring semester of the academic year should submit their documents from December to the end of February of the corresponding academic year.

How much does it cost to live in the university dormitory?

For the 2024–2025 academic year, a place in a four-person room costs starting from 1150 euros. A deposit of 350 euros is also required.
