Macro Süpermarket ODTÜ

Description

Since 1997, when it opened its first branch, it has succeeded in becoming the market leader in its sector in the TRNC by opening a new branch almost every year. Today, Macro Supermarket is the supermarket with the most branches and employs the most staff.

Macro, an institution dedicated to continuous development and renewal, was the first company to bring the concept of shopping mall in the modern sense to the country. In addition to being the pioneer of the modern supermarket concept, Macro has also offered Macro Cineplex cinemas with 12 halls and Bowling halls, which is also a first, to the service of the people of the island.

In addition to retail merchandising, Macro also operates in many areas of food production. In addition to having the privilege of being able to offer fresh meat, chicken and poultry products from the farm to the shelves in its own chicken production facilities, the products collected from its own fruit and vegetable gardens can take their place in the shelves the next day. Milk and dairy products produced in dairy farms are also offered for sale in the stores in a fresh way.

In addition to its commercial activities, Macro, an institution that does not neglect to extend a helping hand to the public and those in need and attaches great importance to social responsibility activities, has been working in cooperation with the most important and respected institutions of the country such as Cancer Research Foundation and SOS Children's Village for years.

Another issue in which Macro is a pioneer in the country is the ‘New Graduate Programme’, which aims to increase qualified employment in the country. It makes a difference with the career opportunities it offers to university graduates and internal trainings on ‘Store Management’ and ‘Retail’. Currently, Macro is among the most important locomotives of the TRNC economy with more than 350 employees across the island.
