Working hours in government institutions of NOrthern Cyprus

The working hours of public institutions in Northern Cyprus vary during the summer and winter periods. From May 8th to September 17th, the institutions operate on a summer schedule.

Summer working hours:

• On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays - from 08:00 to 14:30.
• On Thursdays - from 08:00 to 12:30 and from 13:00 to 17:30.
• Saturdays and Sundays are days off.

This working schedule does not apply to essential emergency services, which will operate round the clock.

Healthcare services included in the Department of Inpatient Medical Institutions and the Department of Primary Medical and Sanitary Care operate from Monday to Friday, 07:45 - 14:45.

The working hours of government officials and healthcare workers who work in shifts and on a rotational basis are determined by their respective institutions, but not exceeding 35 hours per week.

The Chief Pilot and the Port Administrations of Famagusta and Girne, as well as the customs authorities of these cities, will operate according to the following schedule:

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday - from 08:00 to 14:30,
• Thursday - from 08:00 to 12:00 and from 12:30 to 17:30.
• Saturdays and Sundays are days off.

The working hours of state production enterprises "Doğuş Uran", "Çömlekçi", "Paşaköy", and "Ercan" are as follows:

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday - from 07:30 to 14:00;
• Thursday - from 07:30 to 12:00 and from 12:30 to 17:00.
• Saturdays and Sundays are days off.

It is worth noting that the government is currently working on implementing a unified working schedule for public institutions during the summer and winter periods. The changes will come into effect after all necessary legal procedures are completed.
