Beach and surroundings
Since this is a resort and very touristy area, it becomes completely deserted during the winter months, while in the summer the streets are filled with tourists and live music every night.
The area is known for its main street — Coral Bay Avenue, which stretches to the Coral Bay beach marked with a Blue Flag. Along the avenue, there are restaurants, bars, shops, and car rental points.
Most of the events are centered in these two places — the beach and the main street.
Coral Bay Beach Infrastructure
You can access Coral Bay Beach from several points, the easiest being the main parking lot. The beach is very long and stretches all the way to the Sentido hotel.
The entire stretch of beach is lined with sunbeds and umbrellas (which require payment). The bus stop is located right next to the beach entrance.
During the summer months, the beach is crowded and very lively. There are two active restaurants and snack bars, one at each end of the beach. In the center of the beach, there are places for water sports.
The sea is quite shallow, and the waves are usually small.
In winter, all the sunbeds and umbrellas are removed, and you can walk freely along the sand. Both restaurants are also closed.
To get to the beach, simply walk to the end of Coral Bay Avenue and continue along the road until you see the large black-and-orange beach sign. The beach is less than 10 minutes' walk from the start of Coral Bay Avenue.
Where to eat near Coral Bay Beach
The main Coral Bay Avenue, which leads from the beach inland, is the center of most restaurants in the area, but remember, some of the best options are off the beaten track, so explore different parts of Coral Bay. Here are some examples.
Andria Restaurant
Located right on Coral Bay Avenue, this popular restaurant offers everything from international standards to local delicacies. Local squid, fish and chips, Greek salads with feta cheese, and seafood pasta dishes — all can be found on the menu.
Oniro By The Sea
An original cool bar with an unrivaled view of the sea caves. This is the place to relax with tasty snacks, unique cocktails, and refreshing ideas. The outdoor terrace is the perfect place to watch the sunset over the sea at the end of a busy day.
Phidias Cyprus Tavern
This typical Cypriot restaurant has both a covered seating area and an enclosed terrace with air conditioning, serving traditional dishes and wine.
Pizza Hut
If you want reliable and proven fast food, check out the Pizza Hut located on Coral Bay Avenue. By the way, it’s a great option to take pizza with you to the beach.
Nightlife at Coral Bay Beach
Most of the nightlife in Coral Bay is centered on Coral Bay Avenue, also known as "The Strip", where most of the restaurants are located. In most establishments, evening entertainment is held in one form or another: either Cypriot-style music and dancing, or more modern bands and singers.
Most cocktail bars are open until midnight, after which they are required to observe quiet hours. In the Coral Bay area, many clubs have recently been renovated, so there are plenty of nice and clean places to go in the evening with music and dancing.
Weather at Coral Bay Beach
In summer, the maximum temperature can reach 34 degrees for several days in August, but most of the time the temperature is calmer — around 30 degrees in the middle of the day, and it can drop to 25 degrees in the evening. Cool evening breezes are a common occurrence at Coral Bay.
As for winter, the weather has been lovely during Christmas in recent years, but rain showers are possible at any time in December and January. Christmas days with temperatures of 20 degrees and bright, clear blue skies are quite common.

Children's Entertainment at Coral Bay Beach
The Itaki Park is one of the main attractions for children in this area, offering various activities such as trampolines and hosting children's parties.
Crown Resorts Horizon has a large playground in beautiful, well-maintained green gardens, available year-round from the main road.
An alternative is the Renegades bar — although it is a bar, it has a huge backyard garden with a trampoline and a small playground for children.
For older children, there is a go-kart track just a few minutes' drive from the Phillipos supermarket.
How to Get to Coral Bay Beach
Although a taxi is certainly the most convenient and quickest way to get from the airport to the beach area, there are buses equipped with air conditioning that, of course, cost much less.
To get from Paphos airport, first take bus route 612, which regularly departs from the airport and goes to the city of Paphos. This is about a 30-minute bus ride.
At the main bus station in Paphos, you can transfer to bus 615, which goes to the Coral Bay stop in about 45 minutes.
But why not stop in Paphos for a while? The main bus terminal is located by the harbor, offering a beautiful view of the bay and the Paphos Castle.
Another great option is to rent a car, which can be done directly at Paphos Airport. In this article, we explained exactly how. Alternatively, you can visit the websites Localrent or Discover Cars to rent a car there, with options starting at 10-12 euros per day and delivery to the airport.
