How to move to Cyprus with a Russian passport nowadays? Step-by-step instruction.

The main thing is to make a decision. If your move is a trial speed march for three months, you should get a visa and find a suitable flight. If you want to stay here for a year - which is also quite simple - apart from them, you will need to apply for a residence permit. In both cases, you should start with obtaining a visa - a Schengen one, a national one of the Republic of Cyprus, or a Bulgarian, Croatian, or Romanian one.

The easiest way is to make a Bulgarian multi visa for entry, which they give to Russians for a year. One applies for it at the visa center and receives it maximum after a week. With the above visas, you can stay in the country for up to 90 days. If your goal is to stay in Cyprus for a year or more, immediately upon arrival, you should find accommodation for long-term rent. One of the requirements for obtaining a residence permit is an official lease agreement for at least a year certified by a notary. And remember that when you apply for a residence permit, your status changes, and you are not already on the island on a tourist visa. The request for a residence permit transfers you to visitor status. Therefore, you don’t have to worry if the official 90 days for a tourist visa have expired - you have the right to stay in the country.
