What to bring from CIS countries to Cyprus as a gift and what to bring to visit Cypriots?
Updated: 1 month ago
In the winter season, "warm" gifts will come in very handy. Not everyone knows, but it is very cold on the island from December to April, so mini valleys, Uggs, warm woollen things will be very useful here.
Russian vodka or Ukrainian gorilka and red caviar are always welcomed as a universal gift.
If you met locals in Cyprus and they invited you to visit them, you should observe traditions. Usually Cypriots bring baked goods and any flowers, except for white lilies. Here they are usually bought only for funeral ceremonies and such a bouquet will be perceived negatively.
