Rain Continues Across Cyprus on February 10, with Snow in the Mountains
The Cyprus Meteorology Department reports that moderate low pressure will remain over the region on Monday, February 10.
The day will start with partly cloudy skies, but by the afternoon, scattered showers, thunderstorms, and isolated storms may develop, especially in the west, south, and mountainous areas. Higher elevations could see sleet.
Temperature Forecast:
- Daytime temperatures: Around 15°C inland and on the western and northern coasts, 17°C on the other coastal areas, and about 3°C in the mountains, where frost is expected in some spots.
- Evening and overnight: Skies will stay partly cloudy, with occasional light rain in some areas and snowfall in the higher mountains.
- Nighttime temperatures: Dropping to around 4°C inland, 7°C on the coast, and -2°C in the mountains, where frost will persist.
As of the latest update, Troodos has a snow cover of 10 to 13 cm.
The weather will remain cloudy on Tuesday and Wednesday, with occasional rain, thunderstorms, and snow in the mountains.
Temperatures will stay near seasonal averages.
