August 19 in Cyprus: Heat Expected to Reach Up to 40°C After a Foggy Morning
According to the Cyprus Department of Meteorology, on Monday, August 19, the island will remain under the influence of seasonal low pressure and warm air masses.
In the morning, local fog and low clouds will gradually clear, giving way to mostly sunny skies by midday.
Temperatures are forecast to rise significantly during the day, reaching up to 40°C in inland areas, 31°C along the western coast, and 33°C on other coastal areas as well as in the mountains.
By the evening, the weather will stay predominantly clear, though some areas may see increased low-level cloud cover. Nighttime temperatures are expected to drop to 21°C in inland areas, 22°C along the coast, and 20°C in the mountains.
Looking ahead, the weather is expected to remain mostly clear for the next few days, although Thursday may bring more cloud cover.
Temperatures will remain steady until Wednesday, with a slight dip expected on Thursday, though they will still stay above seasonal averages.
