Rain, Thunderstorms, and Snow Expected on the Troodos Peaks in Cyprus on January 22
The Meteorology Department of the Republic of Cyprus has announced that weak low-pressure conditions will dominate the region on Wednesday, January 22.
During the morning, the weather is expected to be mostly cloudy, with occasional local showers and thunderstorms. On the highest peaks of the Troodos Mountains, wet snow is likely to fall.
Daytime temperatures are forecast to reach around 16°C in inland areas and along the coasts, while mountainous regions will see highs of approximately 9°C.
This evening and overnight, the weather will remain predominantly cloudy, with localized downpours and isolated thunderstorms, particularly along the coastal areas.
Nighttime temperatures are expected to drop to around 6°C inland, 9°C along the coasts, and 3°C in the mountains, where frost may form in some areas.
On Thursday, overcast skies will continue, with intermittent local showers and the possibility of isolated thunderstorms.
No major changes in temperatures are expected, with values likely to remain close to or slightly above the seasonal average.
