23-Year-Old Man Arrested in Larnaca with 22 kg of Drugs
A 23-year-old man was arrested at Larnaca Airport after arriving in Cyprus with a significant amount of drugs. Authorities discovered 22 kilograms of cannabis in his luggage.
According to the police press office, the young man arrived in Cyprus from abroad. The illegal substances were found in his suitcase following a coordinated operation between the Narcotics Police (YKAN) and the Customs Department.
The 23-year-old is expected to appear before the court today for a pretrial hearing.
As previously reported, over 700 kg of drugs have been seized since the beginning of the year.
