Weather Forecast for January 3 in Cyprus: Clear Skies with Frost in the Mountains
The Department of Meteorology of the Republic of Cyprus reports that high atmospheric pressure will influence the region on Friday, January 3. Starting tomorrow, a weak low-pressure system is expected to gradually develop.
The morning is expected to be mostly clear, with some areas seeing increased cloud cover in the afternoon. According to the forecast, daytime temperatures will reach around 18°C inland, 19°C along the coasts, and 8°C in the mountainous areas.
During the evening, the weather will initially remain mostly clear, with some patchy cloud cover. Later in the night, skies are expected to turn predominantly cloudy, with medium to high-level clouds spreading across the region.
Nighttime temperatures will drop to about 5°C inland, 10°C along the western and northern coasts, 9°C on other coasts, and 2°C in the mountains, where frost is likely in some areas. Snow cover on the peaks of the Troodos Mountains has reached 23 cm.
Weekend Outlook
The weekend will bring mostly cloudy weather, with a possibility of light dust lingering in the atmosphere over the next three days.
Temperatures on Saturday are expected to remain largely unchanged, staying close to or slightly above the seasonal average.
