On December 6, Cyprus is expected to experience brief rains and thunderstorms
According to the Meteorology Department of the Republic of Cyprus, on Wednesday, December 6, the region is influenced by weak low pressure. Fine dust remains in the atmosphere, gradually receding.
During the day, variable cloudiness will persist, with possible local rains and thunderstorms, mainly in the western half of the island and in the north. Later, precipitation will occur in other areas as well.
According to the meteorological forecast, daytime temperatures today will reach up to 21°C in inland areas, around 23°C on the northern coast, up to 22°C on the remaining coasts, and down to 12°C in mountainous regions. Winds will mainly blow from the southwest to the northwest, ranging from weak to moderate.
By evening and night, increased cloudiness is expected, with isolated rains or thunderstorms, mainly in western and northern regions. However, the amount of rainfall is expected to significantly decrease later. Air temperatures will drop to approximately 11°C in inland areas, down to 13°C on the southern and eastern coasts, down to 15°C on the remaining coasts, and down to 7°C in mountainous regions.
On Thursday, the weather will be predominantly cloudy, with possible isolated rains, and in the evening, local heavy rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected.
