Foggy and Dusty Weather Expected on January 9 in Cyprus
According to the Cyprus Meteorological Department, Thursday, January 9, will bring weak high pressure over the region, along with fine dust particles in the atmosphere.
In the first half of the day, once the fog clears, the weather will become mostly clear, with increasing high clouds and, in some areas, low cloud cover. The meteorological service forecasts daytime temperatures to rise to around 18°C inland, 21°C along the coasts, and 12°C in the mountains.
This evening, the weather will remain mostly clear, but there will be increased cloud cover, especially along the coasts. Light fog may form in some areas.
Temperatures will drop to around 6°C inland, 10°C along the coasts, and 3°C in the mountainous regions, where localized frost is expected. As of the latest update, snow depth on the highest peaks of the Troodos Mountains was recorded at 17 cm.
Temperatures are expected to remain largely unchanged until Sunday, continuing to hover above the average seasonal values.
