Larnaca and Paphos Airports Handle Over 550,000 Passengers in January
Passenger traffic in Cyprus continues to grow, with Larnaca and Paphos airports serving 551,439 travelers in January 2025—a 6.81% increase compared to the same month last year.
According to the Ministry of Transport, Larnaca Airport saw a 12.7% rise in passenger numbers, while Paphos Airport recorded a 7.24% decline.
The total number of flights also increased by 10.32%, reaching 5,346 takeoffs and landings. The UK, Greece, Israel, Poland, and Germany were the top countries of origin for incoming passengers.
Last year was a record-breaking year for tourism in Cyprus, with annual visitor numbers surpassing 4 million for the first time.
Additionally, data from Hermes Airports revealed that in the first 11 months of 2024, Larnaca and Paphos airports handled a combined total of 11.6 million passengers.
