Athens University to Open a Branch in Cyprus
The National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) is planning to open a branch in Cyprus.
The plans for establishing the university branch were confirmed today during a meeting between Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides and NTUA Rector Ioannis Chatzigeorgiou at the Presidential Palace.
After the meeting, the President's Press Office Director, Viktoras Papadopoulos, confirmed that plans for the swift opening of the university branch in Cyprus are already being implemented.
It is expected that the Cyprus branch will offer all the courses and specializations available at the Athens campus.
"The government and the president welcome the initiative being implemented by NTUA, seeing it as part of efforts towards internationalization and meeting the needs of both the economy and society of Cyprus," stated an official release following the meeting.
