Four-Car Crash on Nicosia-Limassol Highway: Traffic Disruption
Early Tuesday morning, a collision involving four vehicles occurred on the Nicosia-Limassol highway, causing significant traffic disruptions.
Eyewitnesses report that the accident happened as three cars and one truck were approaching Limassol. The Porsche was notably damaged. Emergency services, including police, firefighters, and paramedics, responded to the scene.
Initial reports indicate that the driver of one vehicle was trapped inside. Rescue teams had to extricate the driver from the wrecked car. The injured driver was then transported to the hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.
As a result of the accident, traffic is heavily congested in the area.
The right lane of the highway heading towards Limassol, just before the turnoff to Agios Tychon, is closed. Drivers are urged to exercise extra caution.
