Drug-Carrying Car Crashes into Police Vehicles in Paphos
Police in Paphos have arrested a 35-year-old man after a vehicle stop led to the discovery of a large quantity of drugs. The incident took place yesterday at around 5:30 PM, when officers from the National Traffic Police pulled over the suspect’s car for a routine check.
As officers approached, the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into two police patrol cars. During the subsequent search of the car, officers found a sealed package containing over 10 kilograms of cannabis, along with approximately half a gram of cocaine.
A follow-up search at the suspect’s home and surrounding property uncovered an additional 2.5 kilograms (2,509 grams) of cannabis.
The suspect was arrested at the scene and taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing, as Paphos police work to determine the full scope of the case.
