Author of "The Silent Patient" Named "Person of the Year" in Cyprus
Cyprus-born British writer Alex Michaelides has been named the "Person of the Year" in Cyprus. The author of the bestseller "The Silent Patient" received the award from the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades.
Speaking at the ceremony, the head of the state noted that "people who inspire, who pave the way for our country, and give us hope for tomorrow deserve applause."

He has also written screenplays for films such as "The Devil You Know," starring Jennifer Lawrence, and "The Con is On," in which Uma Thurman played the lead role.
