British Couple Donates Mansion in Cyprus to Open Palliative Care Center
Work is almost complete on the new Palliative Care Center in the “Stefani" area of Tala, Paphos. This important project has been made possible by a British couple who generously donated their mansion for the cause.
Yiannakis Konikkos, President of the Tala Community Council, explained that the Center is being set up under the non-profit organization Hospice, with a capacity to accommodate up to six patients. The facility is in the final stages of preparation.
Located amidst lush greenery, the Center is designed to provide compassionate care for patients in the last stages of life. The staff will include professional doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and volunteers.
In addition to medical treatment, the Center will offer pain relief, symptom management, and psychological and spiritual support to patients.
The Tala community has expressed heartfelt thanks to the British couple, who are permanent residents of the area, for their incredible generosity and commitment to creating a space that will provide free, ongoing palliative care to those in need.
