British Couple Rescued After Argument at Sea Near Limassol
The Limassol Port Police rescued a British couple from the sea after they nearly drowned following a heated argument.
According to local media, the incident took place on Sunday when a 27-year-old woman and her 28-year-old partner got into an argument. In a moment of frustration, the woman decided to enter the sea and swim away from her partner. Realizing that she had swum too far out, the man called the police for help.
When port police officers arrived, they found the man swimming in an attempt to reach his partner, with both of them calling for help. The rescuers quickly inflated a small rubber boat and reached the struggling couple, safely pulling them from the water.
The couple was then taken to a small dock near the hotel where they were staying. According to police reports, the pair expressed their gratitude for being rescued and apologized for causing the incident.
