Ed Sheeran Gave Acoustic Concert at British Military Base in Cyprus
During his tour in Cyprus, renowned singer Ed Sheeran visited the British military bases on the island. The popular artist engaged with soldiers, signed autographs, took selfies with military personnel, and shared stories. His visit concluded with an intimate acoustic concert at a rugby field in Dekelia.
Local media reports that Sheeran's visit to the British military base in Dekelia took place over the past weekend.
As a reminder, the famous British singer came to Cyprus to perform the final two concerts of his internationally acclaimed Mathematics tour.
Despite his hectic schedule, Ed Sheeran took time between his shows in Larnaca to visit British service members and their families. The visit was organized by the British Forces Foundation (BFF).
“Ed’s decision to dedicate his time and exceptional talent for four hours between two shows, despite his tight schedule, was an extraordinary gesture that had a tremendous impact—he's simply the best,” said Mark Cann, Director of the BFF.
During the acoustic concert on the rugby field, Ed Sheeran performed some of his most beloved songs for the active military personnel and their families.
“These men and women sacrifice so much, and we are incredibly grateful to Ed and the British Forces Foundation team for taking the time to visit the British Armed Forces in Cyprus,” said the military.
After the heartfelt performance for the troops, Ed Sheeran returned to Larnaca for his final concert at the Land of Tomorrow venue.
