Due to the conflict in Israel, cruises to the Greek islands from Limassol have been canceled

This year, there will be no cruises from the port of Limassol to the Greek islands. The reason for this is the military conflict in Israel.

This was announced to the publication Brief by the Vice President of Outbound Tourism of the Association of Cyprus Travel Agents (ACTA), Christos Christou.

Responding to a question about the suspension of routes from the port of Limassol to the Greek islands, the specialist confirmed that the decision by the companies was made due to the war in Israel because cruises from the port of Limassol to the Greek islands are directly related to trips to the Holy Land, interest in which is absent in 2024 due to the war.

It is noted that in 2023, there were more than 20 cruises from the port of Limassol to the Greek islands. At the same time, Cypriots who want to go on a cruise to the Greek islands can do so from the port of Piraeus, where more routes have been added.

Currently, routes from the port of Limassol for 2025 are planned by companies as usual.
