Cyprus will kick off the first semi-final of Eurovision 2024
The draw for the performance order in the two semi-finals of the Eurovision Song Contest has taken place. Cyprus's representative will be the opening act for the first semi-final.
17-year-old Silia Capsis will take the stage with her song “Liar” on Tuesday, May 7th. Additionally, Greece's representative, Marina Satti, is slated to perform third in the second semi-final on May 9th. Other countries in this group include Austria, Estonia, Georgia, Malta, and Norway.
It was previously announced by the Cypriot broadcasting corporation that 16-year-old Silia Capsis will be representing the Republic of Cyprus at the 68th Eurovision Song Contest with her song “Liar”.
Silia Capsis, born in 2006 in Sydney, Australia, to parents of Cypriot descent, debuted her song “Who Am I” in 2022, which she wrote at the age of 12. She followed up with two more singles, “No Boys Allowed” and “Disco Dancer”, released in March and May of last year, respectively.
The Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to take place on May 7-9, 2024, in Malmö, Sweden.
