Cyprus Announces Bid for OSCE Chairmanship in 2027
The Republic of Cyprus has formally announced its candidacy to chair the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in 2027.
"Cyprus has already submitted its candidacy and continues to actively engage in OSCE activities," stated government spokesperson Konstantinos Letymbiotis.
Foreign Minister Konstantinos Kombos will attend the OSCE Ministerial Meeting in Malta from December 4 to 6. Malta currently holds the OSCE chairmanship for 2024.
Finland is set to chair the OSCE in 2025, while Switzerland is being considered for the role in 2026.
